The Trade Promotion Bureau of the Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco was inaugurated in June 2009.  

The Trade Promotion Bureaus are an extension of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations. Their offices can be found throughout the world, located at Brazilian Embassies or Consulates. 

Our Mission

The mission of this Trade Promotion Bureau is to promote and strengthen trade and investment ties between Brazil and Northern California, as well as the states of Washington, Oregon and Alaska. At the Consulates of Brazil in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, Chicago, New York and at the Embassy in Washington, D.C.  there are also Trade Promotion Bureaus to assist you in investing and doing business with Brazil. 

Our main goals are:

  • offer support and promote Brazilian companies wishing to enter the North-American market;

  • assist U.S. companies wishing to import from Brazil;

  • promote joint ventures and direct foreign investments in Brazil;

  • provide information about Brazilian and US trade markets;

  • organize trade missions and seminars.

The Trade Promotion Bureau's jurisdiction includes the following areas: Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Northern California (counties of Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Ladera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Modoc, Mono, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Benedito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislau, Sutter,Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolunme, Yolo and Yuba).
